Quick answer

Yes - real pockets, deep enough for your phone and a handful of dirhams. The waist is size-free and sits well from XS to XXL, and the leg is cut long on purpose so a tailor can shorten it to you. Wide, fluid, and built for the way a day actually moves.

Where these trousers come from

They're cut in Jawhara, our house cloth - an eastern stripe, poly and silk, the one we keep returning to for resort pieces because it pours rather than hangs and warms in the light. We make them in our Guéliz studio, on the street where my family has lived three generations, in a workroom run entirely by women. Small runs, real hands - and the faint irregularity that tells you a person sat with this, not a machine. Rooted in Marrakech, made to travel.

Pockets you'll actually use

I've had enough of decorative pockets - the shallow kind that hold nothing. Ours are deep: your phone, your keys, a few dirhams, your hands when the evening cools off. That one detail is what turns a pretty resort trouser into something you actually live in - hands in pockets through the souk, hands in pockets while the sun goes down. Ease you never have to think about.

Long on purpose, hemmed to you

The leg is long by design - it pools a little at the foot, it sweeps when you turn, it gives the whole line its movement. If you're petite, take them to a tailor and bring the hem up to your height; the wide leg keeps its shape through the change. Long and adjustable beats short and stuck, every time. Movement over measurement.

How I wear them

Black palazzo, a scarf top, bare shoulders for the evening. The lighter stripe with fruit earrings - a slice of raffia Fatima crochets by hand - when the day is bright and I want it easy. A plain shirt half-tucked when I'm crossing the city on foot. And always a basket bag on the shoulder, woven from banana leaf and raffia, to close the look.

Three things to know on the fit

Three things settle most of the questions before you order. The waist is size-free and sits well from XS to XXL - no number to argue with. The pockets are real and deep, never for show. And the length is generous on purpose, simple for a tailor to bring up to your height. Fluid, roomy, yours.
