La Vaguelette — a Marrakesh silhouette
Before it was a bag, La Vaguelette was a proportion — the same soft wave that crowns Moroccan baskets, reinterpreted in a compact, go-anywhere shape. We kept the curve as the hero, refined the line, and let scale do the talking: smaller footprint, same sculptural attitude.
Hands, not machines
Our work begins in the sun. Palm (doum) is split and dried outdoors; it keeps the memory of warmth and time. The weave is patient; the conversation between hands and fibre sets the rhythm. Back in Guéliz, our women-run atelier finishes each piece with lambskin trimming and a hand-braided handle — strand by strand. The goal isn’t speed; it’s intention.
Small size, full life
We design pieces that move from streets to seaside, gallery afternoons to late nights. Calm lines, human pace, durable materials. As you carry it, palm will slowly darken; leather will gather a soft patina. We design with those changes so your bag ages into your life — not away from it.
Local wardrobe, reimagined — size-free silhouettes and heirloom accessories, crafted close to home.
What the little wave means to us
The wave is a quiet gesture — a line drawn by human hands, never perfectly identical. In La Vaguelette, we celebrate that line at a more playful scale: precise, soft, and easy to carry, so the signature becomes part of your everyday.
