YZA Fruit Charms – inspired by the local market, made to travel
Our YZA Fruit Charms are small raffia bag charms inspired by Marrakesh’s fruit stalls — fresh juices, colourful crates and sun shining through palm trees.Clip them onto handbags, baskets or keys and carry a little piece of Marrakesh with you, wherever you go.
The most beautiful bag charms
Our Fruit Charms are made from crocheted raffia — one of the most challenging materials for this technique. We work with artisans in the Medina to dye the fibres into the exact colours we want.
Each fruit is finished with a golden YZA-engraved tag and a small loop so it can be attached easily to bag handles, baskets, pouches or keys. The golden ring is included with bundles. Sizes may vary slightly from one charm to another, but most fruits are around 5–8 cm.
Handmade stitch by stitch
All our Fruit Charms are hand-crocheted in our Guéliz studio by Fatima, who builds each fruit stitch by stitch. Raffia is beautiful yet demanding: rigid, tough on the hands and unforgiving. That’s why each piece takes time
— even with Fatima’s 37 years of experience: a fruit slice takes at least 2 hours, a whole fruit up to 5 hours, and grapes up to 6 hours of crochet.
Inspired by Marrakesh
Piles of lemons and oranges, summer watermelons cut into slices, shiny tomatoes, bright green avocados and bunches of grapes in woven baskets — these everyday scenes shaped the collection. A postcard from Marrakesh turned into raffia charms and keychains, made to travel with you.
Care for your one-of-a-kind piece
Raffia is a light but delicate fibre. Your Fruit Charm is made for everyday bags and keys, but please avoid heavy pulling, sharp objects and prolonged water exposure. Keep away from heavy rain, pools and washing machines. Store in a dry place.
Because everything is handmade, each Fruit Charm is slightly different: crochet tension, exact shape and raffia shades may vary. They’re perfectly imperfect — you can feel the artisan’s hand in every piece.
