La Sculpture – inspired by Marrakesh, sculpted for you

La Sculpture is a collection of sculptural woven bags handmade in Marrakesh. Designed as wearable objects, each bag explores volume, curves and movement through material and form. The bodies are crafted from woven banana leaf, carefully cut and shaped into fluid, wave-inspired silhouettes — a signature design language of YZA.

A handle like no other

The handles are conceived as sculptural elements in their own right. Inspired by Marrakesh architecture — its arches, curves and decorative details — each lightweight metal handle is shaped by hand, then wrapped patiently in natural and dyed raffia.

Each handle is finished with subtle hand-embroidered beads in matching colours, bringing texture, balance and a strong visual identity to every piece.

Handmade, slowly and carefully

Every La Sculpture bag is entirely handmade in our women-run atelier in Guéliz. Working with banana leaf, raffia and sculpted metal requires precision, patience and time. Each material behaves differently, which makes the process both demanding and deeply artisanal.

From start to finish, each bag takes around 48 hours of work spread over 6 days — from weaving and shaping the body to wrapping the handle and finishing the final details.

The collection is available in three sizes, each designed for a different rhythm of life. XS is your chic companion for city days and evening moments. S is the most versatile size, ideal from day to night. M is our largest size, perfect for travel and elegant beach days.

La Sculpture embodies YZA’s vision of resort wear accessories, where natural materials, bold shapes and artisanal techniques meet modern design. The textures, colours and curves of Marrakesh are present in every detail — a city of light, movement and craftsmanship translated into woven objects made to be worn.

Care for your one-of-a-kind piece

Banana leaf and raffia are light yet delicate natural fibres. Please avoid heavy pulling, sharp objects and prolonged water exposure. Keep away from heavy rain, pools and washing machines, and store in a dry place.

Because each bag is handmade, slight variations in shape, raffia tone and finishing may occur. These small differences are part of what makes every La Sculpture piece unique.
