The Wave, from default to icon.

For at least 5,000 years, people have been weaving baskets around the world. In Morocco, Doum is used, braided into long strips, which are sewn in a spiral to give shape to the basket. This method, the only one used, requires the craftsman to make a small "wave" at the top of the basket to finish it.

It is this "defect" that we wanted to magnify, elevate to the rank of icon, of celebration of the handmade.

Reinventing the shopping cart

In addition to its unique form, which took 18 months to develop, 5 details make The Wave irresistible:

Talented craftswomen

Fatima, Bouchra, Latifa and Naima work from home, with fibers found near their house. They are basket weavers from generation to generation. An artistic profession that is not learned at school.

Art & Materials

We use white Doum from Marrakech, the most beautiful and strongest. Our lambskin comes from stocks of major brands to reduce our consumption. Our craftswomen are trained in leatherwork in our workshop in Marrakech.

For the planet and women

The palm tree must be cleared of its dead leaves to continue growing. No machines are used, the sun is used to dry the leaves. Basketry is one of the most ecological crafts that exists.

Durable & easy to maintain

We use natural materials that live! In the sun or over time, the Doum browns, the leather acquires a patina. However, the Wave remains ultra-solid and elegant over the years. You can offer it to your children!
