Rooted in Marrakech,
Crafted for Everywhere
YZA, ⴰⵣⵉ, ييزة is an amazigh female first. It evokes strength, resilience,
and a return to one’s roots.
For us, YZA is a way of life : feminine, free, a little rebellious and anchored in Marrakech
—
attached to tradition, yet boldly modern.
It's a story of women, craft and color — born in Guéliz, handmade in Marrakech. It's the story of the modern Marrakesh wear : pieces to keep, share, and pass on. A story we are writing together.
Three Generations in Guéliz
Our story began decades ago on the same street : from my father’s restaurant, Rôtisserie de la Paix, to YZA Studio today and more to come. Guéliz is where we live, create, and keep learning. Our roots run deep here — creativity is our legacy.
About the founder, Nawal Rmili
After 15 years in Paris as a stylist & assistant for Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, ID etc. Nawal decided to come back to her hometown, Marrakech, to create YZA. Drawn to color, culture, and connection she started YZA as an answer for more meaning in the fashion industry. Every piece carries part of that story — handmade, intentional, made to last.
A Women’s Atelier in Marrakech
Every piece is handcrafted in our 100% women’s atelier in Guéliz. We work slowly, respecting time, materials and the stories behind each technique. We create fair work, share knowledge, and make things that endure — together.
Our Manifesto
- I. We are the Modern Marrakesh Wear.
- II. We reinvent the basics of the local wardrobe — making them radically modern.
- III. We find sophistication in simplicity.
- IV. We honor heritage — techniques, stories, and places.
- V. More hands, fewer machines, less waste, more meaning.
- VI. We believe in movement over measurement.
- VII. We design with time, we make from the heart.
- VIII. Color is culture. Craft is language.
- IX. We grow through women — makers, wearers, sisters.
- X. Beauty lives in community — through connection, lineage, and creation.
Life is more colorful in Marrakech.
